bkk trip 12th May 09 – The Trip Ended Reluctantly

Day 4

Chinatown/ Platinum Mall/ Home Sweet Home

Despite sleeping at around 4 am the day before, the girls still managed to wake up at 9am in the morning.

After preparation, we thought that we were ready to set off to our first destination of the day, Chinatown, to have our breakfast cum lunch butttt was so wrong when we realised that the guys were still lazing around, unprepared!

We waited in our room..and took photos..and laugh..and get crazy!

 

Too lazy to do anything except for lying on the bed..

She came over to my bed and join the camwhoring session.

Char came shortly..but was complaining that she has puffy eyes and yet at the same time..she wants to join the camwhore lor..therefore, she wore sunglass  -_-”

Susy and co. came shortly and off we went to chinatown. We took a Tuk Tuk to one of the jewellery shop near MBK first. From there, we continued our way to Chinatown.

 

 

After a long, smokey, polluted and hot journey, we finally step footed on Chinatown!

 

We searched high and low, just to look for a Dim Sum restaurant to dine in.. And we are lucky enough to find it! Coincidentally, it was the same shop that Toh & I patroned 3 years ago during our trip here.

Exaggerating enough, we ordered many side dishes plus 66 dim sum!! (Each of a kind for 2 tables)

We are starving.. and we actually have the ability to finish all.  

That is not all and first time in my life seeing so many.

After the feast, we went to buy more local products @ one of the shop in Chinatown.

 Took a cab to Platinum Mall. The girls felt really stressed because Platinum Mall is one of our favourite mall but we have not enough time to go for the past few days. And now, we were only left with 2 hours to shop!

It was indeed not enough but its okie for me because I am penniless in 1 hour! haha!

Met up at 7pm at the mall and rushed back to the hotel to claim our luggages and off we went to the airport to catch the 9.15pm flight.

We reached SG around 12.40am and bid goodbye to each other after Jason arrived to fetch me home. The rest went for supper and it was finally Home Sweet Home.

This mark the end of our BKK Trip.

Wanna thank the darlings for making me laugh so hard and had great fun together in a foreign land.

Wanna thank the guys for been our security guards most of the time and making the trip a well-planned one.

Wanna thank Susy & her uncle for the good hospitality and make sure that we were well-taken care of.

Overall, it was a fun & fruitful trip and we are all waiting for the next trip to be planned.

loneliness kills

I will be all alone today and it sucks!

Kumari is on leave. I will be on the job alone.

Karin & Kim went clubbing last night with Ryan, Jaclyn & TW and both won’t be at work today, no one will be emailing me. I will be alone.

Jason is sleeping soundly now after a he claimed he was drunk clubbing session but he still managed to call me and chatted for awhile when I was on the way to work. I will be alone (for now, haha)

And here I am in the office ALONE at 7.30 am.

I could have went clubbing with them last night. (It was Celest’s concert @ DF and ALL of them went)

But could not because piles of work for my project needs to be done. (somehow, somewhere I don’t know what are my project mates doing)

And most crucial part is because I need to get up at 5.30am just to cover the morning shift.

On a happier note, today is already Thursday!

Weekends are on its way and it will brightened up my mood for awhile. (because I feel weekends zoom past always like it never come)

And there is a confirmed case of H1N1 virus in SG.

Which bloody hell means, my work place is going to resume the temperature taking thing soon.

Man U was defeated by Barcelona and the latter lifted the trophy for Champions League.

I bet many will be feeling down, depressed, upset and disappointed.

But well, I was feeling alright because I never like Man U but have to be sensitive to supporters like Kumari, Ruku & Glenn. (Kumari took leave just to watch the match and I think she will be crying like mad now) 

I have to rush home after work later at 4.30pm because my internet connection was down after dad ask someone to move the modem after installing a TV point socket in my room. The old TV will be put in my room. The person will be coming to fix it and hopefully, the connection will be up because I feel handicap at home without my internet. =(

OKIE! I think I am so bored now that I am going to work on my BKK Day 4 post.

A boring Thursday, that is.

bkk trip 11th May 09 – The Pattaya Trip

Day 3

Pratunam Market/ Pattaya Trip/ Gathering in the room for the last night!

Its breakfast time again!

Slurps!

This time round, the guys are SLOWER than us. We are already starving thus we went for breakfast first. After breakfast, the girls decided to go shopping at Pratunam Market and it is just a few steps away from our hotel!

Gosh, I am telling you, they sell the cheapest clothes lor! Just within 1.5 hours, we bought many stuffs. One of the best stuffs that we bought are slippers! This is meant to be wore to Pattaya beach later!

&..we saw this very cute Chihuahua in a shop.. soooooo cuteeee laaaaaaa

 We went back to the hotel at around 12.15pm.. put our stuff, pack abit and prepare to go to

PATTAYA!

The van that will bring us to the destination arrived at 1pm. The whole journey took about 2 hours. It was a long journey but it doesn’t seem so with abit of napping, snapping & gossiping.

And..we have reached Pattaya!

We went to change and settled down at some of the sun lounger before we decide on what to do..

Hello, the sun lounger need to pay one okie! I think around 30bahts per chair?

And then…we wanted to take some photos..

We are very very hyper and excited because we have never been to a beach for very long and we just got the mood for it. Extremely into it until we decided to do something lame.

Fourth Jump: I am successful and the other 2 darlings couldn’t take it anymore..and keep laughing! Not professional!!

And after that.. ENDLESS & Countless jumps! We are not giving up!!

We never succeeded in capturing a picture of 3 of us up in the air together and we gave up. I have never laugh so hard before !! We even have videos of us jumping (credits to LLL) and I might just post it some other day. =D!

We are so tired of laughing and jumping..very tiring! So we need to find some other kind of entertainment for ourselves..we decided to ask the GUYS to JUMP!

I think the rest of the guys cannot take it anymore. So they want to try! (plus the girls whining to them, haha!)

We really die hard laughing and realised that it should be time to play the sports! First sport that we played is the banana boat!

If you wonder what is that..

5 persons to this very fragile boat!!

No other pictures was taken because all of us went ‘onboard’ this boat! Hell lotsa fun. I didnt know that the person who pull the boat (driving on his motorboat) will try to capsize the boat until I board la.

First time round. Char sit the first, I am on the second and Toh on the 3rd. 2 men sat at the 2 last seats to ‘protect’ us because they said that the front is more secure.

I have never been to the sea for don’t know how many donkey years and I am someone who is not really brave in water. I don’t know how to swim (though we have life jacket on us) but still the fear of ‘dropping’ into the water totally freak me out. Especially when the other boat (with 5 men) was already been capsized right beside us!

The first capsized was funny. I somehow know I am going to drop into the sea when it happens and had a mouthful of sea water. The most difficult part is to climb back to the boat (reminds me of my CX training when I have to climb up to the damn bloody raft). It is NOT easy to climb at all because of water pressure in the sea and the amount of strength you got to use is unimaginable!

Luckily, the guys did help us abit..if not, I can just float back to the shore. HAHA.

Second capsized: This is just so unexpected and I did not anticipate that! Thats why I fell with my head into the water first and it seriously hurts abit. Before my head was surfaced, I felt as if I had a concussion. HAHA.

Third capsized: The 2 guys decided to swap places with the other people because they are too tired to help us up again, lol, I think we are too heavy? This time round, I can anticipate that the boat is going to turn. I thought I was smart to jump down to the water first in order to minimize the impact. Who knows when I float up, I saw Toh & SW still on the boat!! Damn, they are good lor. Haha!

Goodbye Char & KX!

We had lotsa fun not until something unpleasant happened. Eh, I am really quite lazy to explain everything but it was just something that was frustrating and irritating that I don’t understand why we are just so unlucky.

The incident definetly spoilt our mood for awhile but we decided to continue our night by going to the nearby shopping mall to have our dinner..

Then, we went to buy some local products..recommended by Susy’s uncle and we had good deal. All of us bought something and I am totally in love with the cuttlefish that I bought!

Went back to Bangkok after that and we decided to have a gathering @ one of the guy’s room on this last night.

Bought snacks, drinks and some food and watched a very lame but funny HK show in Thai language.

The night is certainly full of laughter and joy.

Went back to sleep and packed abit.. Prepared to go home the next day!

rumblings

I am still on the way working on the Day 3 post. There are just too many pictures and description!

I decided to take a break and blog abit about the daily lives.

My house will be undergoing a big change next week. Dad just bought a 50 inches TV and it will be mounted to the wall. The whole house will be painted with new colours.

I had chosen my room to have 2 shades of pink. 1 part of the wall will be painted in darker shade of pink, and the rest, a lighter shade of pink.

Speaking about pink, I need to whine alittle.

Recently, I created a quiz in FB. I am sure all knows that there is this “How well you know about blah blah”?

Out of boredom, I created mine. Ok la, I would say my questions are not all give away questions.

BUT! SO SAD!

My 3 good friends, namely, CHAR KIMMY, KARIN TOH & VIVIAN TAN scored only 70%!

And they all got the same question wrong..which is seemly the easiest question.

What is my favourite colour.. and 3 of them actually put WHITE leh!

SOBS

Explanation from them: It doesn’t occur to them that I like pink because most of the time I am dress in white or black. And I don’t carry any pink stuffs.

Heartbroken man, I replied: My camera, wallet, MP3 player, umbrella are all in pink lor! I don’t wear pink because there was once a fortune teller told me that I can’t wear pink (TOH YOU SHOULD KNOW THIS BECAUSE U WERE BESIDE ME). I don’t use pink fonts in MSN because Char uses pink and I don’t want to crush with her!

And the rest of the questions..Toh thought I like Romance type of movie.. Vivian said she don’t recalled seeing me drink JJ Herbal Tea before and Ephy said he remembered that I like Nicholas Tse.

It was a trick lor. Good friends that came to my house before knows I like Nicholas Tse because my old cupboard had many pictures of him. But after that I change my affection to Daniel Wu. Haha.

Obviously he is not updated but I don’t blame him because we met up less often due to our hectic life.

The only people that gotten 100% for my quiz are Hubert & Jason. (I gave Jason alittle bit of hint in some questions and he took like 20 minutes to finish it, haha) & surprisingly, Owen got a 90%. (Maybe he tikam, but still very surprised!)

Anyway, I am just whining la. It is just a quiz and DARLINGS! I don’t take it to heart about the results but please notice me more next time okie! HAHAHAH!

I had a very bad grumbling stomach yesterday morning. I visited the toilet at least 5 times in the wee hours.

The feeling was terrible and Jason was asking is it because of the 爱心Kway Chap that he cook on Sunday made me having runs.

Haha, of course not la. I think because I drank with empty stomach on Friday night and perhaps the irregular meals + alcohol made my stomach turned.

Some really unpleasant things that happened last week.

I was taking a nap on Friday night and was woken up by a SMS that I thought I was dreaming after reading it. 

A girl sms-ed me and passed some really insolently rude remarks on me. Making fabrication that was overly-exaggerated to me.

I did rage into a fit but after I sat myself down, calling my friends to rant, I somehow calm myself down and decided to give in to her because I can understand her doings. And I understand that if I am a couple of years younger, I might be doing the same things like her. Most importantly, I don’t want to make a big hoo-ha over it and caused stress to the person involved in this incident.

Alright, I give it to her.

Not until when the second sms came in, which is on a Sunday night. The crude personal attacks that was mentioned made me decided that I shouldn’t keep cool anymore.

I engaged in a sms-war with her.

Very simple, she starts the ball rolling. I didn’t pass the ball back to her, she thinks that I am guilty of my doings or she is on the upper hand. Now she kicks the ball harder and if I still keeps mum about it, she will continue kicking for sure.

I am not free to create unnecessary problems with her and therefore I replied. I am actually not obliged to tell her my side of the story & yes, I didn’t mention much about it too.

Until it came to a point that the person involved in this incident solved it.  

All I can say was, I am not greatly affected by it because I know what she said about my impaired moral values were untrue and the people who knows me well and was involved knows it was untrue as well. But it was pretty disturbing when someone challenges you and trying to put you down with nasty words and harsh criticism.

 

 

p/s: when things got too tangled .. or complicated .. you just need a breath. I was gasping for air earlier on and am glad that I can breathe a sigh of relief , at least for now.

bkk trip 10th May 09 – a simple & beautiful sunday

Day 2

Chatuchak/ MBK/ Japanese Food/ Patpong/ Suan Lum Night Bazaar!

Char’s alarm clock triggered at 10 in the morning.

We got up, staggered our way to the cafe to have breakfast!

I think all are only half awake (lucky I am not looking into the camera to let u see my shag face. )

Back to the room..got prepared…and off we went to

CHATUCHAK!

Actually, this is my 2nd time being there. And I never like it. LOL

Because I remember I didn’t really enjoy that place during my first time there, which was last year. I recalled having my top drenched with perspiration and moreover, nothing much to buy.

But since we are in BKK on a weekend, we decided to just go there for awhile!

Apparently, there was a miscommunication.

We were waiting for Susy and was told that we wait at No. 2

We waited and waited (under the freaking hot sun) but there is no sign of her. So Char called her and realised that she is waiting at No. 3!

After 1 hour, the girls couldn’t stand it anymore and dumped the guys @ Chatuchak for shopping @ Bonanza Plaza again. We just couldn’t get enough of the shopping there!

And we met at around 5plus at MBK for dinner at a Japanese Restaurant!

It is really a nice restaurant with great food!

The servings were generous.

The pictures of the dishes in the menu is mouth-watering.

There is a wide variety.

And most importantly is.. it is so cheap! Once again, we ordered each a main dish and side dishes to share!

bkk trip 9th May 09 (part 2) – party in the rain

Day 1 – Part 2

After 2 hours of resting and preparation, set to meet at the lobby to go for dinner first! It is a clubbing night, therefore we are all nicely dressed. =)

We decided to go to the area around RCA to have dinner. Reached there and walked along the stretch of clubs..

We were amazed by the beautiful decos of the clubs!

(sorry that we sounded mountain turtle but none has been there before)

Settled down at on of the restaurant and we ordered many pizzas and each of us a main dish. So full until we were so afraid that we might puke after drinking later.

And just beside the restaurant, there is this small bakery shop, S&P. We are loving the very nice packaging of the biscuits. Bought some cakes/ biscuits and desserts there too.

After satisfying our stomach, off we went to the club.

Before we knew it, I was already midnight and god!! It was pouring very heavily outside.

We found something amiss when the guys took very long to come back from the toilet. Because the washroom is just so nearby but they took 10,000 years to come back. When questioned, they told us that the way to the washroom was flooded!

We never believe it until we experience it! We practically removed our shoes to walk to the ladies and it was black out in the toilet. And the water level is slightly higher than ankle-level. How to walk with shoes?

At first we got quite annoyed, because we have to remove our shoes and walk. But, it became fun when we feel so comfortable walking in a pool of cold water (though not very clean, lol) and we know this is something we can’t get to experience in SG.

Time to go home, but it was still drizzling. The moment we stepped out of the club, we got a shock! Because it was flooded outside on the main road. But we were amused by the ‘transportation’ that brought us from outside the club to the road opposite to take Taxi.

Argh, too bad the photo was blurred. See the man pushing on the ‘transport’ we were standing on? I bet he had a hard time. HaHa.

All of us was been ferried to the other end safely. The super ‘high’ people began to play with water la!

I don’t know who started first.. to splash water.. and after that, the whole bunch just got down to the water!

We are shivering cold because we were all drenched + it was still raining. Hurried hop on to the cab and maybe because all was high from alcohol, every single little things that we did/ said in the cab made me laugh until my stomach damn pain.

Yea.. Ah Toh immediately ‘TOH’ after boarding the cab and I am trying my very best to snap the most ugly photo of her. I succeeded but I won’t post it up here, she will kill me! HAHA.

I am still very hyper! (I really think I can’t take any other alcohol other than Martell because I will go haywire)

Char went to bath immediately..but before that, I took a sexy picture of her but was rejected to post up here. LOL

Toh immediately lie on the bed and go into LALA Land almost instantly.

bkk trip 9th May 09 (part 1) – the arrival

Plane at it’s final decend and approach to BKK international Airport…

AND HERE WE ARE~

After collecting the luggage, we went to meet Susy’s uncle, who is a Thai and Susy’s brother and brother’s friend, who are from Hongkong! =D~

Susy’s uncle is really nice to make all the necessary arrangment for us. That includes renting a van to accomodate the 12 of us!

We reached the van and got really excited when we saw HELLO KITTY!

 

We boarded the van, it was quite comfy just that we were slightly hot because the air-conditioner is not really working well..

Nice hotel.. well, not really very classy or budget.. just in between but we are satisfied enough. =D!

After we dumped our luggages with the reception (check-in time is 2pm and we are still early), we went to offer prayers at one of the 4-faced buddha temple.

 

 

 

After that, we went to have lunch @ MBK. The plan was that the guys will go and tailor made their shirts & pants.. and the ladies shall go to their favourite bonanza plaza!

We shopped alot at bonanza plaza, my hands were really aching from buying all the stuffs and we decided to meet up with the guys at only 5pm!

A really misfortune thing happened. Toh got pick-pocketed! She realised she lost her envelope of Thai Bahts when we were at a shop, wanting to pay for the nail polish that we bought. It was really frustrating because she strongly believed that she was being pick-pocketed as she did put her $ back to her bag. We searched thoroughly in all our shopping bags and even walk back to the same shop that we patronised but to no avail. It’s just her luck!

Went back to the hotel after that and checked in to the room.

We had a good 2 hours rest and got prepared for the next program..

 

Next Up: The most enjoyable night @ Route 66. And that is, dancing in the rain!

On Friday, 13 of us went to watch Angels & Demons @ Lido.

I don’t know how come end up so many of us going.

The movie was quite nice except that I am really tired that I tried to make myself awake!

Went to Macdonald and have a coffee before the people go separate ways.

We are waiting in vain for just 1 person.. because apparently that person lost his pants?! Which I don’t know how..and Xiaolong & him is ransacking the whole artiste room but just couldnt find his pants..

And he is super EMO about it..

This is so funny lor. Okie, just let me rant something. Ah Char, I am going to quit taking care of u when you are drunk because you are so violent! You stepped on my leg for at least 4 times, hit my chest, jaw+ nose when u hug me. And made me thought u are going to fall endless times. And I don’t know where is Ah Toh everytime this happened. Toh, please take over my job please! LOL
