lonely monday

Here I am sitting alone in the guest lounge of my hotel typing this entry. Actually I have nothing to blog about but I am really bored at this hour! Not feeling sleepy at all.

Just came to my mind that I have not meet my dear cousins for almost 2 months! Where are you guys ah?? Haha, maybe I am the one who are busy.. but anyway!! Please meet up soon in Aug as I have many off days!

I had a good flt today as my ‘ah gor’ was very nice to us. Got to eat alot of junk food onboard. Though it was another full load flt, we managed to finish everything quite fast and smooth. Looking forward for more flts like this! I had 3 big bruises on my knees now. As though my legs were not ugly enough man! But the clumsy me always uses my knees to push my cart.

I am actually feeling quite happy today. Maybe because 3 days ago when I was here, I was bed-ridden all the while but today I am very energetic. And also, I am going to buy my wallet tml at Tsim Sha Zhui DFS! Very excited about it because I simply love the design of this wallet.

Shall post the picture of the wallet once i got it… In the mean time, I will be having a buffet dinner with my girls on wed. Love the gathering again as u all know, they are very sweet lor. Just read their blogs about my birthday celebration and the sentence they wrote. U all are so mushy.. then i cannot lose you all lor..Read this:

happy birthday to the sick me

Today is my birthday and also the most simple birthday that I ever had.

Moreover, I am down with flu, cough and fever. How unlucky.

Talking about my illness, I had my flight on Friday night. Don’t know what happened, I suddenly felt very unwell during the flight. Feeling exceptionally cold and drowsy. It just came like that with no warning! Once I reached the hotel, I popped a flu pill and took cough  medicine, had my bath and talk to karin ger on the phone before I fell asleep. Sleep till around 3am and I felt super hot and I knew the fever got me. My god, I can’t rem when was the last time I had fever! Called the receptionist to get panadol but they don’t have! Argh, bore with the illness and hope I can get better in the morning.

Obviously in the morning i didnt get better, instead worse. Practically cant get out of my bed even to see the doctor. Luckily Kyle came to my rescue by buying me panadol and congee. I slept the whole day in the hotel yesterday! No appetite to eat anything.

I got slightly better today with no fever except for my bad cough and minor flu. Was trying to hold my phglem while working today. Tommorow I still have a flight. Sigh, hope I can get better.

p/s: Thanks to my dearest friends who send me sms to wish me happy birthday.. And most importantly my 3 darling girls who bought me a cake and gave me a sweet surprise on thurs.. and my honey for buying me a cake too..thanks so much and I love u all!

Just came back from the usual flight. Still as tiring. This sector is forever full load! Will have to stuck with this roster till 2 months later for conversion.

As usual, had my layover at HK yesterday. This time round I bought alot of skincare products. Hope it work wonders for me!

Shall upload some photos taken last Friday. It was Jeremi’s birthday! Sad to say, only me and honey remember his birthday. Haha. Had a mahjong session with him, honey and ben before we set off to Fisherman Village for a chill out session. After 2 months for not touching the mahjong tiles, the result was no win no lose. -_-”. Big winner is honey! $110 into his pocket!

Last night at DF again….

 

 

my dear classmates, i will miss u all!

As i had mentioned, Sat was the last day of my training, which is so called the ‘graduation day’. Well, not really graduate because our official graduation day will be 6 months later. As we had a converstion to do 2 months later and our probation is 6 months too. The converstion will be spent here for 6 days, doing airbus and 777 converstion.

Had my final assessment on Saturday on 3 tests. The final test was so hard la, got a 62/70 marks. Still a pass but not very satisfied lor because that is just moderate. Had some briefing session then the last part was a end of training report to us by our trainers. All our comments are so interesting. My comments is as below:

OVERALL COMMENT
Phyllis Lye projects a polite and pleasant image. Her grooming conforms to company standard.

In class, she is attentive but in a quiet side. She gets along well with teammates. Though quiet, she has demonstrated the required galley and cabin skill during practical. Receptive to feedback and improvement seen.
As she is a rather shy and quiet person, she is advised to communicate more with others and ask questions when in doubt. Has good product knowledge.

Haha, i am really quiet in class la compared to the hongkong people. Well, I guess that is the genes of singaporean. We are not so hyper in class whereas the Hongkies are always so energetic. They really have the energy to be so talkative and noisy. No offence la, there are good and bad. At least they spice up our life. I am really shy when in class lor. Always like that since my primary school days. I am not those who will volunteer to give answer or ask alot of questions type. I feel, they really observe u lor. One of my classmate even got comment like ” should sit properly in class”. LOL. what the hell man. Another one ” has excellent makeup skill”. –Miss Juv lor. Because she is always so attentive to her make-up. Always have well done make up on her face one.

After this, we receive our class photo in hard copy and our graduation letter for induction training. I feel so emotional. Its like we finally get through this. Studying for 6 days a week for 6 weeks and AT LEAST 20 tests for the whole training is no joke. I am happy for myself for passing this induction training with quite a smooth path. Though I might not scored the best for the academic but at least I didnt fail any modules. I am pretty upset for 3 classmates who can’t manage to graduate with us on the same day because they need to retake certain tests. But I believe ultimately, all of us can make it ya.

I will really miss the hongkong crew so much as they are so nice. The next time we can be seated together in class is 2 months later. But still, we promised each other to see each other during our day off in HK or if they have the chance to get a SG flight.

Phyllis Ho. The sweetest girl in class. She bought me many candies when she came over my room to sleep with me. How sweet!

Cass. A mature smart lady whom is very pretty in person!

Sujun! She is gonna be my soulmate for my next few flights. We are glad that we can clicked very well and was always there for each other during the first few ‘tough’ flights.

Ethel! Very energetic girl and always very caring for others. Love her company!

Cherry. My best partner during practical. We always blur together. Hehe.

Kathy. The girl next door. Very gentle and demure. All the guy’s dream gf!

Laurence. The ABC man. He is very charming when he speak English lor. Haha. Thats what Juv said. =p

The last night of Kyle in HK with us!! Sujun and me went to his room to chit chat with him and Kelvin. He just came back from Narita and he bought a honeydew. We are aiming to snatch it from him but haha, he decided to sit on his luggage to protect his honeydew!!

Tomorrow will be the last day of my training. Time really flies. Training days were fast but I feel as though I had live here for very long. Dont know why this kind of feeling. To be honest, living in Hongkong aint a bad thing at all except that you will miss you loved ones alot. If not because of my beloved family, friends and honey, I would have plan to convert to Hongkong based. But I cannot la, will miss them too much. Keke.

Did I mention that I went to KTV with Juv on Monday? It was the last day of Service Excellence day and we had 2 days off afterwhich. Therefore, we decided to go to KTV! Initially it is with Joyce, Juv and my hongkong classmates. Too bad Joyce need to go to Macau urgently therefore we deicided to call it off. Nevertheless, Juv and I still decided to go out and dont know why in the end we went to the ktv ourselves. LOL. Very long never go ktv already! So excited about it!

HAHA i am so bo liao!

Ok, after waiting for VERY long for ms juv, off we went to KTV @ Mongkok (yea, mk again! -_-”) We anyhow went to a ktv and sign up for a 2.5 hours ktv session with buffet dinner. I must say the buffet dinner is damn nice! Most of the stuffs is they cook for you on the spot. Even when you request for Sushi, they make it infront of you. How nice ah.

Hmm, the price is not very cheap. Around SG35 for each person, and the time is too short lor. We only had 1 round of buffet and not much time to sing. If there is nobody checking in, we can continue to sing. But there were so many people!! I don’t know where all these people came from on a monday nite lor. Now I know it is because it was a public holiday eve. Hongkong got many PH. So good!

Talk abit about my first flight yesterday. Hmm, overall a very good experience. The best thing is we got to sit in the cockpit for takeoff and landing. Just in case you don’t know what is a cockpit, it is where the pilot sit. There are 4 seats inside the cockpit. The front two is occupied by the Captain and First officer and we took the 2 seats behind them. YEAH!! What an experience! Because ever since 911, nobody except the crew are allowed to enter the cockpit. I can see the best view of the country and it was amazing lor. I can see I enter the clouds during take off and basically nothing except clouds. lol. Take off nothing much to see but I am still very excited. We put on the earphones and listen to the communication betweent the captain and the traffic control staff and we basically dont know what they are talking about. Haha. The best part is during landing, we can see stars beside us (it was already night time) and the view of hongkong, shen zhen and macau. OMG, hongkong is so small when I look down. The Captain even introduce us the area, telling us which area is hongkong, macau and shen zhen. I seriously feel like crying because i was so touched. Though abit exaggerating but this experience is so good! I never believe that i can sit in the cockpit to see all this things~~

Ah, talking about Osaka. Went there to buy some cosmetics. Bought a marjolica mascara and lipgloss. I think it is cheaper but eating there is ex. 1 meal is at least $14 even after crew discount. Signed on my credit card because we didnt change any Japanese yen.

The whole sevice was rush and tiring. I suffered from muscle aches on both of my arms and now I had salon pas on them. Sigh, i am so weak. My next flight will be on Sunday to Bali. After that off 2 days and going back to Sg on wed. Monday and Tuesday i will be going out to do some shopping and to buy presents for my beloved cousins and friends. Whoever want to buy anything, pls let me know before Sunday! Anything about cosmetics is cheaper depending on brands. The cheapest brand is La prairie and Laneige because that is what my company carrys for the crew. If you can’t get me in msn, email me. Let me know asap!!

I will be going for my first flight tml.. Feeling now is excited, scare, lost and blur. Haha.

Hopefully the crew are nice and patience towards me, this newbie.

Anyway, I was rather pissed off with my honey. He was late and missed his flight today to TW. Well done. Such impossible mistake he also can make. Luckily, he can change the flight to tml with a $50 top up. -_-”

Guys forever need somebody to be by their side to nag them. But if u nag too much, they will find u irritating. Very hard to be a girlfriend. Sometimes u wanna give up your nagging. But if u dont nag, they wont follow. ARGH

I am happy to say that i will be back to Sg next Wed. Hoho. Already planned with my girls for ladies night next wed. I am excited that i can see them! Miss them alot lor. Somemore i miss out so many juicy news from them. U girls better update me with every little details!

I am happy that tml will be the last day of my training ! Tuesday onwards will be free except that Thursday I will be going to Osaka for my OJL flight, Saturday will have my final accessment and Sunday going to Bali.

Yesterday I went to a new place call Tsuen Wan with Juv. Joyce went to Macau to find her friend again therefore the 2 of us went exploring out. Quite a good place to shop as the things are cheap. Shopping again but we went there quite late so only a few shops were opened. We went to dine in this Vietnamese restaurant and the food is awesome! Took some photos of it but decided not to post it up because not all the food was taken. We both had 6 dishes (what a glutton) and it only cost us HK158. Cheap!!

It was only 9plus then we think that we should go somewhere else. We went to Lan Kwai Fong to check it out.

Reached there around 10plus and there are already so many people. Wah, I hate to walk the slope up. It is so steep.

Aiyo, there are so many clubs and we don’t know which one to go. Therefore, we called ben and asked which club he went that time. He introduced a club call Beijing and we can’t find it. I tried to ask around and there was these 2 girls so friendly. They even brought us there. Along the way, we chatted abit and she said that Lan Kwai Fong is mostly for caucasians and tourists. Most of the Hongkong people will go to Tsim Shai Zhui for a drink.

We managed to find this club but we are unlucky that the club was having some private event and will only open at 2am. Gosh, we are not going to wait! Decided to go Tsim Shai Zhui and see if there is any nice place for us to chill. Hmm, there are alot of clubs/pubs over there too but not as many as in LKF. We randomly went to a pub and the place was so big and nice. Ordered 2 Calsberg Chill and 2 cocktails. The bartender is very nice as he specially make the cocktails for us after honey ask if he has a whisky spirit in the cocktail.

He made me this very nice drink which has vodka, orange juice and some milky stuff. Totally different from Screwdriver as it taste quite special. Honey has got his whisky cocktail. Err, too thick for me. haha. Played some games and dices. Looked at the watch and it was already 1.30am. Decided to call it a day.

Honey went to toilet and he came out with a stalk of rose. LOL. Kinda funny and surprise. But i love it. =D!

SUNDAY

Woke up at 10plus and off we went to Disneyland! Took our lunch at a Dim Sum restaurant located at Tung Chung.

We went in to the different zones and try the ride. This is one ride which test your shooting skills. We are like the space invader!

Another ride which is kinda thrilling. It describe as high speed mountain with sudden brake and drop. I was so scare at first! The ride is in complete darkness and you cant see what will happen next. EEE. But ok la, it was really in fast speed but not much of drop. Thats what I am afraid of the most in the first place. A funny picture taken during the ride from the photographer.

We went to ‘it is a small world’. The decoration is so nice. Took a boat ride and see the ’small people’ in different country.

Overall i think that this disneyland is so-so only. Because it is not very big and it is so expensive. If not because of my crew pass that entitles a 50% discount, I wouldnt want to go in lor. (UP HK350). But it is indeed an experience for us as we will not have the chance to go disneyland that often. Only around 12 years ago whereby the time I stepped into the first disneyland which i went at Paris. haha, so long ago i didnt even remember how does it look like!

I have many more photos to upload and shall name it Juv day. Because for the past 3 days i have been going out with miss juv because our dear joyce went macau. Yea, again!!
